History

In 2002 August 23rd Sri Bodhiraja International College was started with the blessings of our Chief Thero , Ven. Dr. Omalpe Sobitha Thero. The first principal of our school is Mrs. Nanda Balasooriya.The first eastern band of our school was started in 2003 and also the first two western bands were started in 2005.In 2010 our school became a semi - government school and until then it prevailed as a private school. In 2011 our school took the first place among eighty five schools in Embilipitiya from O/L results .As a reward for the 15th anniversary of our school , we held a lot of programmes and a glorious exhibition at our school premises.We had a great luck to have the A/L facilities in 2016.Our school started with one building but at present there are four large buildings . At the beginning there were only 5 teachers and 38 students but now tere are 75 teachers and more than 1800 students.Today we are celebrating the 20th anniversary of our mother Bodhiraja with a great pleasure . At present our school has become one of the major English medium schools in Embilipitiya zone .
