Laws and regulations

 

1.Appropriate Behaviors

  • Students should be mindful of their manners at all times and greet staff members (administrative and teaching), visitors and their peers with courtesy.
  • Students mast respect the authority of management and teachers. Shouting back at teachers and use of abusive words will be not tolerated.
  • Students should respect the rights of their peers to a safe, conducive and non-prejudicial leaning environment. The use of abusive or foul language, harassment or extortion of any kind will not be tolerated at all times. These will be dealt with severely and students may face expulsion for repeated offences.
  • Unruly behavior and causing disruption to other classes will be strictly dealt with
  • Students are not allowed to loiter along the corridors at all times.
  • Changing of rooms (e.g.= from class to computer lab) should be done quietly and in an orderly manner.
  •  Any student found using, or in possession of any intoxicants (alcohol, tobacco, drugs) may face immediate suspension
  • Physical violence. fighting, theft or any form of hooliganism is considered a serious offence which may lead to suspension from school or expulsion.
  • Gambling of any kind is not allowed in the school.
  • Students are not allowed to use mobile phones within the school premises. In case of emergency, students can ask for permission from teacher principal to use the office phone.
  • Students are not allowed to access or download materials from the computer system without permission.
  • Any student found accessing restricted materials in the computer lab will be dealt with severely.
  • Students are expected to take care of all school property. Breaking, defacing of school property and vandalism will not be tolerated.
  • Students are responsible for the maintenance of a clean and healthy
  • Students are responsible for the maintenance of a clean and healthy school environment. There should be no littering in the school premises.

2.Class Attendance & Punctuality

  • Students are expected to be in the school before the bell rings and report to their respective class-teachers.
  • Sri Bodhiraja College - before 7.30 am
  • Bodhiraja International Pre-school- before 8 am
  • Students must be present during the morning assembly and participate in the religious formalities. No student will be allowed beyond the preschool section while religious ceremonies are in progress.
  • Students should remain in their respective classes. Permission must be sought from the teachers in charge if they wish to leave the class.
  • All students must remain within the school premises during school hours. No student is allowed to leave the school without seeking permission from the principal.
  • Students must maintain 75% of their annual school attendance. All absenteeism must be supported by a letter from parent/guardian.

3.Assignments and Class work

  • Skipping of classes without any reason will not be tolerated.
  • Students are expected to complete all their assignments within the given time frame.
  • Students are expected to engage actively in co-curricular activities as part of their personal development

4.Assignments and Class work

  • Students must present a clean and tidy appearance at all possible times.
  • School uniforms must conform to the specifications set out by the school, both in design, colours and materials.
  • Skirts for girls must be below knee-length and waisted.
  • Trousers for boys must cover the shoes.
  • School ties are compulsory.
  • Shoes and socks must be black with no fanciful designs.
  • Students must have the proper attire for physical education, sports, dancing or other co-curricular activities.
  • Hair must be neatly kept. Boy's hair must not touch the collar and sideburns are not allowed. Girls with long hair must tie them up neatly. Nails should be kept short and clipped regularly.
  • No jewelry, perfumes and cosmetics or nail varnish is allowed.
  • No sunglasses are to be worn in the school and spectacles must be worn only upon prescribed orders and not as a fashion statement.
